  2. Moon (n) the natural satellite that moves around the Earth once each month and reflects light from the Sun.  “there was no moon, but a sky sparkling with brilliant stars”
  3. anything that one could desire.
“you must know he’d give you the moon”
  4. Verb: behave or move in a listless and aimless manner.“I don’t want her mooning about in the morning”act in a dreamily infatuated manner.“Timothy’s mooning over her like a schoolboy”
  5. over the moon — extremely happy; delighted.“they’re going on holiday on Wednesday so they’re all over the moon”

księżyc

1 (n) satelita planety.

“musisz wiedzieć, że on dałby ci księżyc”

  1. Czasownik: zachowywać się lub poruszać w apatyczny i bezcelowy sposób.

„Nie chcę, żeby kręciła się nad ranem”

zachowywać się w zauroczony sposób.

“Timothy chodzi za nią jak uczeń”

  1. over the moon — być niezwykle szczęśliwym; zachwyconym.

„wyjeżdżają na wakacje w środę, więc są zachwyceni”

  • How big is the moon?

The moon is about 2,000 miles across.

How far is it from Earth to the moon?

It is about 250,000 miles from Earth to the moon.

    How old is the moon?

The moon is the same age as the Earth and the rest of the solar system — about 4.5 billion years. Our solar system was all formed at that time.

    How did the moon form?

We think that the moon and Earth formed at about the same time, back when our whole solar system was formed. Earth was forming from many chunks of rock and icy material. Possibly a big chunk hit the new Earth and knocked loose a big piece, which became the moon.

Why does the moon affect the tides?

The moon actually CAUSES the tides. If there were no moon, we would have no tides.

    • This song is about being yourself and proving that you could do anything no matter what you are.
This is Alessias biggest hit and I see why. Moana has become an inspirational movie for both kids and teens. You could go far by your goals or your achievements to make something bigger than the whole world.
    • Miranda’s lyrics are reminiscent of The Little Mermaid, particularly when Ariel sings about wanting to live in the real world instead of under the sea. She wants to follow her dreams by traveling somewhere far away.
    • The film tells the story of Moana, the strong-willed daughter of a chief of a Polynesian village, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with the goddess Te Fiti. When a blight strikes her island, Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in the hope of returning the relic to Te Fiti and saving her people. The plot is original, but takes inspiration from Polynesian myths.
    • Moana continues a tradition of Disney princess movies that perpetuate gender stereotypes. The movie contains the usual Electral undercurrent, with Moana seeking to prove her independence to her overprotective father. Moana’s partner in her adventures, Maui, is overtly hypermasculine, a trait epitomized by a phallic fishhook that is critical to his identity. Maui’s struggles with shapeshifting also reflect male anxieties about performing masculinity. Maui violates the Mother Island, first by entering her cave and then by using his fishhook to rob her of her fertility. The repercussions of this act are the basis of the plot: the Mother Island abandons her form as a nurturing, youthful female (Te Fiti) focused on creation to become a vengeful lava monster (Te Ka). ¯ At the end, Moana successfully urges Te Ka to get in touch with her true self, a brave but simple act ¯ that is sufficient to bring back Te Fiti, a passive, smiling green goddess. The association of youthful, fertile females with good and witch-like infertile females with evil implies that women’s worth and well-being are dependent upon their procreative function. Stereotypical gender tropes that also include female abuse of power and a narrow conception of masculinity merit analysis in order to further progress in recognizing and addressing patterns of gender hegemony in popular Disney films.

      • It’s pretty obvious that he’s singing about the same girl from ‘Dirty Diana’, and in the music video it was hinted that the girl’s name is Diana. But ‘Diana’ is not mere metaphor or fiction, he’s actually making jabs at Diana Ross, his ‘mother-lover-sister’ that he claimed her to be in his autobiography. See, in the song, he’s singing about a girl who left him to be with someone else, and he’s upset that he doesn’t even know who is the guy she left him for. Think back to 1979 – 1985, where Diana just broke off from Silberstein, and she got awfully close with Michael during that period. They went to Oscar dates together, hung out in clubs together, did intimate photoshoots together, and even spent nights together during the filming of the ‘Wiz’. Michael wrote a few songs for her albums during this period, too. In an interview, Michael boldly insinuated that the person he wants to marry is Diana Ross, but nobody took him seriously because they just thought that it was just idolization from Michael’s part, sort of a cute crush or something. Then suddenly, in 1986 Diana announced that she was getting married to Arnes Naess. Michael was upset, he admitted in his Moonwalk autobiography that he was jealous of her new husband because he has never even met the guy before, and he refused to attend her wedding nor wanted her to collaborate on a song called ‘I Can’t Stop Loving You’ and even turned down Diana’s invitation to appear on her show. A year later, ‘Bad’ is released and it featured a song called ‘Dirty Diana’, most probably ‘dedicated’ to Diana Ross as a way to get back at her. In the Glenda tapes, where MJ had his phone conversation with a friend wiretapped without either of them knowing (you can find the audio tracks on Youtube — called MJ secret phone conversations), he told his friend that an ‘older woman’ used him and was fooling around with other men behind his back. He also mentioned that it took him years to get over Diana, and this was right before Dangerous was released so the timing for the song “Who Is It” makes sense. Actually, if you match the lyrics of ‘Who Is It?’ with Michael’s rumored affair with Diana, everything fits together. There’s no metaphor or groupies or whatever. It’s a straightfoward song about ‘Diana’ (Ross) breaking his heart, that’s all.
